Elektron One: la hypercar tedesca made in Italy da 1300 Cv

It will be produced in Italy and will have monstrous power. Monocoque frame in carbon, kevlar and biofibre, will have three engines and a 0-100 acceleration of 2.1 seconds

Put together a German startup, a Turkish entrepreneur, an English design company led by an Italian, a Modenese factory and you will get Elektron One by Elektron Innovativ Technologien, the latest prototype (still on paper) of an electric-powered hypercar that is becoming popular on the web. Above all, the power of this battery-powered car gets a lot of talk: 1 MW, that is 1,000 kW, or 1,360 horsepower.

At the moment we are only in the rendering (the car is designed by the English studio Epta-Design led by the Italian designer Luigi Memola) and the promises, so everything that is said and read about Elektron One could be realized in a different way, or even not to be realized at all. The little that Elektron Innovativ Technologien communicates on its website on Elektron One, however, is enough to understand that we are facing yet another extreme performance electric car. The enormous power is generated by three electric motors, two at the rear and one at the front, and allows the car to exceed 400 kilometers per hour, reaching 100 in just 2.1 seconds. Monstrous performances, about which there is some doubt given the refined aerodynamics, but not as monstrous.

the frame

From a technical point of view, rather than aerodynamics, probably still in the definition phase, the “hybrid” monocoque frame of this hypercar seems interesting: not only is it in carbon, aramid (material similar to Kevlar) and biofibre, but it incorporates also internal batteries with 100 kWh capacity and fast recharge (the house declares a recharge to 80% in just 15 minutes). The active push rod type racing suspension is attached to the chassis, which will help this car stay on the road together with the torque vectoring electronic that will cut off excess power from individual wheels.

built in Italy

Elektron Innovativ Technologien is a German company, owned by a Turkish entrepreneur: Armagan Arabul. The Elektron One, however, will be built in the Italian Motor Valley – in Emilia-Romagna – probably shortly after the official launch, scheduled for 2021. The following year, in 2022, an even sportier, lighter and more powerful version will also arrive ( and will probably be the one with 1 MW of power and 400 kilometers per hour): the Elektron Scuderia-E Competizione. It will be a street legal track car produced in collaboration with Gianfranco Pizzuto’s Scuderia-E, an entrepreneur from Merano who was one of the initial financiers of Fisker Automotive.
