Electoral phenomenon or power of money? What explains the explosive take off of the Bloomberg campaign | News Univision Elections in the USA 2020

The name of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg does not even figure in the first four states on the list of Democratic primary. Just in November he launched his campaign and his strategy is to shake his rivals with the results of the ‘Super Tuesday’ in March, where he has focused a massive investment of millions of dollars on television ads to win.

The effort has not been in vain. The Bloomberg campaign has gained enough momentum to climb the polls and enter the debate in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday.

This Monday the former mayor placed second in the national survey NPR / PBS / Marist with 19%. Bernie Sanders ranked first with 31%. Behind Bloomberg are Joe Biden with 15%, Elizabeth Warren with 12%, Amy Klobuchar with 9% and Pete Buttigieg with 8%.

In the index of political polls Real Clear Politics, Bloomberg is third nationally. First is Sanders with 24.8%, Biden with 17.8% and Bloomberg with 14.6%.

How have you achieved it? What is behind the emergence of the former mayor among the Democrats?
