Berlin (dpa / bb) – The political scientist Hans Vorländer expects difficult coalition negotiations after the election in the Berlin House of Representatives. “It will be just as difficult in Berlin as it is at the federal level,” said Vorländer on Sunday evening to the German press agency. “Only after the official count will there be clarity.” He believes that there will be fewer substantive differences in Berlin between the leading parties, the SPD and the Greens. “The big conflicts there are probably mainly in terms of personnel issues,” said Vorländer. “Then it also depends on the parties’ support for the top candidates.”

In the House of Representatives election, after the first projections on Sunday evening, there was still no clear winner, the Greens and the SPD were in a neck-and-neck race.
