Elderly victim of a major theft in the Bronx – NBC New York

NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is looking for a man and woman who allegedly broke into an elderly woman’s home in the Bronx and stole thousands of dollars on Saturday.

According to officials, the unidentified couple approached the 70-year-old victim at around 2:40 pm and started a conversation.

The couple walked with the elderly woman for about two blocks before entering her condo located near the corner of West 183rd Street and Loring Place North, reportedly.

Arriving near her home, the victim voluntarily let the two alleged thieves into her apartment. While at home, the two suspects raised $ 30,000 in cash, along with the 70-year-old woman’s purse, which contained her cell phone and various debit and credit cards, according to authorities.

The two fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was left unharmed.
