The mayor of Elda,Rubén Alfaro, and the spokesmen of the municipal groups of the PSOE,Alba García; of the PP,Francisco Muñoz; of Citizens,Francisco Sánchez; and of United Left,Javier Rivera, they have kept in the morning of this Sunday, at twelve noon, three minutes of silence for the victims of the coronavirus.
The councilors have come to the Town Hall, where throughout the day theflags at half mast, to show at the gates of the City Council the respect, condolences and recognition of the city to all the people who have died from the pandemic.
Elda City Council has joined this gesture in the official mourning declared by theValencian generalitatthroughout the territory of the Community.
Also inMonovarthe three flags that hang on the balcony of the Town Hall, that of Europe, that of Spain and that of the Valencian Community, have been flying at half-mast since yesterdaymemory and tributeto all people who have died as a result of Covid-19. In this way, Monóvar joins the call of the Generalitat Valenciana.
