Eight years in prison and TBS for strangling 80-year-old man in The Hague | Inland

Victim and perpetrator were neighbors. C. has stated that he was assaulted and assaulted by the victim on the day in question – October 20, 2018. On the day of the violence, cameras registered a conversation between the two men at the victim’s home on Gaslaan. They then went in together. C. came out again shortly afterwards. Not long after, a neighbor alerted the police because there was blood at the door of the victim’s home. The man was then found lifeless.

Behavioral experts had advised TBS with conditions, because there are several disorders. This measure can be combined with a maximum of five years in prison. The OM had therefore demanded five instead of eight years. The court disagrees, “because retaliation and affirmation of standards come first in this case.” The court also finds that C. should be treated. That is why she has imposed a compulsory hospital order in addition to eight years in prison.
