Eight restaurants on the Costa Brava where you can enjoy September like a movie star

La Taverna del mar, in S’Agaró, Girona

Its opening in 1936 brought with it the visit of personalities from half the world. Its lounges (and spectacular views) served as the backdrop for some scenes from Mister Arkadin, shot in 1954 by Orson Welles, a stalwart of the Costa Brava. Those who stayed at the Hostal de La Gavina, such as the actor Lex Baker with his then wife, Tita Cervera, came here to have their last drink before dark. Currently, this restaurant and seafood restaurant it shines every season, thanks to its chef Lluís Planas and the best fish, rice and seafood in the area. Do not miss its Banys de S’Agaró, a service of booths, umbrellas and sun loungers vintage perfect to wash off the salty water or relax in front of the sea after a good feast.

Ca la Maria, Llagostera

The chef Martí Rosàs and the head of the room (and pastry chef) María Hernández joined their paths in the prestigious Lasarte de Martín Berasategui and in 2002 they created Ca La Maria. This old-fashioned decorated farmhouse measures its cuisine based on sustainability with examples such as its own garden and raw material from kilometer zero, sustainable fishing and organic meat. All elevated to excellence thanks to his creativity and technique.
