Last year the appointment with Eicma was canceled due to the epidemiological situation dictated by Covid-19, like any other event related to engines and to every sector. And so this year the long-awaited event finally reopens its doors, from 23 to 28 November (open to the public from 25) in the pavilions of Fiera Milano in Rho.
To participate in the beloved international two-wheel exhibition they will clearly be indispensable the Green Pass (by now we know that it is mandatory everywhere, from 15 October also to work), and the mask; for all those who are not vaccinated, it will also be possible to do the last minute buffer outside, before the entrance. To ensure maximum safety, there will be an operations center to control the gatherings.
Luca Palermo, managing director of Fiera Milano, believes that “Eicma fully represents what a great fair must be: a formidable tool for promotion and communication of enterprises and a development accelerator. Fiera Milano has drawn up some guidelines for the conduct of all events, too Eicma (after last year’s cancellation). Great attention was paid to the management of pedestrian transit flows, to avoid crowds, new digital technologies were also introduced to automate entry procedures. Through an app it is then possible to book parking spaces and manage the fast track and the restaurant service.
Everything is organized to ensure the interpersonal distancing, so that visitors can enjoy the event in the utmost tranquility. Pietro Meda, president of Eicma, declares: “The collaboration with Fiera is now a very precious and fruitful collaboration, which has never intensified as this year in the face of the complexity of the challenges. After the stop last year, most of the reference industry has tightened around the value of our event and continues to believe in the opportunity offered by Eicma as an international showcase for their investments “.
The 2021 edition will be a very important occasion for the whole sector and for fans, who will finally be able to experience this great event in safety. In post-covid mobility, interest in two-wheelers has increased, which has shown very positive numbers.
