Two days after the border incident between Egypt and Israel, the first picture appeared of the Egyptian soldier who carried out the border operation that took place on Saturday, killing 3 Israeli soldiers and wounding two others.

He was serving in the military in the Sinai region, while singers revealed that his friends called him a painter for his hobby of drawing, and he was popular among his acquaintances, stressing that his military service would have ended soon.

While Israel is scheduled to hand over his body to his country within days.

And the Egyptian military spokesman had announced the details of the operation that took place on the border with Israel, where he said that at dawn on Saturday, one of the security personnel in charge of securing the international border line chased drug smuggling elements, and during the chase he breached the security barrier and exchanged fire, which led to the death of 3 soldiers. The Israelis and 2 others were wounded, in addition to the death of the Egyptian security guard during the exchange of fire.

While the Egyptian military spokesman stated that all search, inspection and insurance measures are being taken for the area, as well as taking legal measures regarding the incident.

For its part, the Israeli army said that it is investigating the circumstances of the security incident and combing the area in cooperation with the Egyptian army.

It is noteworthy that Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, and the borders between the two countries are often calm, but it witnessed repeated attempts to smuggle drugs, which led to live ammunition clashes in recent years between smugglers and Israeli soldiers stationed along the border.
