Egypt & UAE Deepen Energy Cooperation with abu Dhabi Ports Partnership

Cairo, Egypt – November 21, 2023 – Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are bolstering their strategic alliance in the energy sector, with a renewed focus on infrastructure and logistical advancements. Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, recently concluded a visit too the UAE, where he met with officials from Abu Dhabi Ports Group to solidify a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing regional cooperation.

Key Meeting Details & Objectives

The meeting, held on November 20, 2023, included Ahmed Al -Mutawa, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Saif Al Mazrouei, Head of the Ports Sector, and Mahmoud Farraj omran, General Manager of TCM project Management. Discussions centered on the implementation of the MoU,which seeks to integrate advanced digital capabilities and operational expertise from Abu Dhabi Ports into Egypt’s oil sector.This initiative aligns with Egypt’s sixth work axis, prioritizing joint regional cooperation.
