Egypt: the trade balance deficit declined

The Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said today, Monday, that the trade balance deficit fell 32.2% year on year to 3.22 billion dollars last October.

The Statistics Authority said in a statement that exports fell 4.4% to 2.39 billion dollars last October, while the value of imports fell 22.6% to 5.61 billion dollars.

According to the Statistics Authority, imports of petroleum products decreased by 23.5% and raw materials from iron and steel by 36.4%.
