Egy wasn’t satisfied with his career in Poland until his third year

Jakarta

A Maulana Vikri not satisfied with their work together Lechia Gdańsk. Entering his third year, Egy has not shown his best performance yet.

The former U-19 Indonesia national team star was officially recruited by Lechia on July 8, 2018 or one day after his 18th birthday. Even though he is predicted to be a potential young player, Egy has not been able to say much until now.

Until now, Egy has only recorded a total of 111 minutes playing with the Lechia senior team in Ekstraklasa or the Polish Premier League. He mostly played with the Lechia youth team and played in non-competitive matches.

For that, Egy admits that he is not satisfied even though he has succeeded in realizing his dream of playing in Europe. He wants to prove his true quality and ability with the club from the City of Gdansk.

“It feels like my dream has come true (playing in Europe). There is a feeling that I have to work hard, I can’t waste it. Now I’m here, but not satisfied and want more,” he said. One in a virtual discussion Zoom, Wednesday (4/11/2020).

“I got a lot of advice from Dusan (Bogdanovic, his agent), from Om Kurus (Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto) as well. First we have to be mentally strong and work hard,” he added.

“I am nothing compared to them in Lechia, if I don’t work hard to improve skills, let alone tactics, then I can’t compete,” he said again.

The player from Medan is grateful to dare to challenge himself to play outside. There are many valuable lessons and experiences to be had in Poland.

He realized that his ability was not enough to guarantee playing in Poland even though he was often called the most talented young player in Indonesia. In fact, there are still many players who are better than Egy.

“This is my dream from a young age, I have to be mentally strong. Alhamdulillah, I have started to slowly understand their tactics and wishes. For now I have to work harder from all the people here if they want more than them,” said Egy determined.

“We apologize for football being left so far behind. If in Indonesia it is too good but it turns out that nothing has happened yet,” he said.

“We also have to know what the coach wants. It really has to be explored because no matter how good the player is but doesn’t understand tactics, it’s useless,” he said. One again.
