Bernal,than 22,became the first Colombian and youngest winner of the Tour as 1909,a record later broken by Tadej Pogačar. The stolen Pinarello represents not only a sporting achievement but also a cultural touchstone for Colombia, embodying the nation’s passion for cycling and Bernal’s personal journey to the pinnacle of the sport. The theft has sparked concern for the safety of athletes and the value placed on cycling memorabilia.
In a video posted to social media, Bernal reported the disappearance of the yellow bicycle, stating it “symbolizes the glory of cundinamarca and the pride of an entire contry.” Authorities are working to locate the bike and determine the extent of the theft.
