eFootball: Konami Reveals Details on Launch of “New PES 22” | sport games

O eFootball, new name for the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise (PES), gained new information regarding its launch, which will take place between September and November 2021. As revealed by the developer Konami no Twitter of the game, the title will basically be a “demo” on its release. eFootball is free to play and will not feature microtransactions upon arrival, plus it will receive more content during the Northern Hemisphere Autumn.

There are still no confirmations as to what type of content the developer plans to release during the testing period, but it’s likely that some microtransaction system will eventually be introduced. Remember that eFootball will be released on PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC, in addition to versions for Android e iPhone (iOS), and will feature cross-play e cross generation.

eFootball will feature a total of nine teams at its launch, including Brazilian clubs Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and São Paulo Futebol Clube. Konami explained that it wants to see fans of the franchise playing eFootball as soon as possible and, because of that, the game will be released with a limited number of teams and game modes as well. According to the company, information about new content will be released in the near future.

In addition to questions regarding microtransactions and the general content of eFootball, Konami also explained the integration between consoles and mobiles. Many fans were concerned about the cross-play, mainly between consoles and mobile devices. The apprehension was motivated by the possibility that this integration could negatively affect the graphics of the next generation consoles and PCs and the entire gaming experience.

The developer reassured fans by remembering that eFootball was first developed for consoles, but that everyone can enjoy it in the same way. It was also guaranteed that the game will take full advantage of the capacity of each platform and that more modern consoles and PCs will not suffer downgrade of graphics when paired with mobile devices. eFootball will still have options for matchmaking to play only with the platform or region desired by the players.
