Because of Corona it was smaller than planned, but thanks to the loosening it was back in the family with children and grandchildren. The new mayor Johannes Albert also came over and brought the couple congratulations and a gift basket. When asked about the secret of a 60-year marriage, she answered: “We had a lot of work” and he: “Every thunderstorm cleans the air. So, I’ll marry her again”. For decades, you regularly went on holiday to South Tyrol by bus. Today Edwin Scheiner still goes to his high seat in the forest and Johanna Scheiner likes to take care of her garden. Both are interested in football and visit the games at FC Roden together. Johanna was born on January 16, 1939 as the youngest child of Anna and Linus Oehring in Ansbach. There she also went to school and grew up. Since her mother died early, she had to do a lot of work in the house and on her parents’ farm. Later she took care of raising children and worked in her own farm. She was a local farmer in Roden for twelve years and was happy to organize trips there. Edwin is the oldest child of Ludwina and Konrad Scheiner. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Würzburg and went to school and grew up in Roden. He later attended the agricultural school. He was a member of the Roden town council for a long time and is a field jury. Even though he was still a child, he still remembers the last years of the war well. Five children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren Johanna and Edwin met while walking between Roden and Ansbach. In 1960, the couple married in a civil registry office in the town hall in Roden, where they were married by Scheiner’s father, who was then mayor. The couple celebrated the church wedding in the Käppele in Würzburg. They have five children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In 1963 the two moved into their self-built house on the outskirts of Roden and then had their own agriculture with agriculture and cattle breeding ?? including pigs, horses, cows and chickens. In 1996 they handed over the agriculture to their son Paul, who still does farming as a sideline.
