The General Authority for Educational Institutes and Hospitals of the Ministry of Health announced that a nurse at the Imbaba Fever Hospital was infected with the emerging corona virus, after contacting a positive case of the virus that was being held inside the hospital.
The authority said in a statement today that the protocol’s rules were applied with it when the result of the patient’s sample was positive, as samples were taken for all of the mixed groups, including the nurse, and all samples of contacts were negative except for that nurse and isolation procedures were performed in quarantine.
The authority denied the reports of the hospital’s nursing strike, pointing to the availability of all protective supplies and the results of the samples are monitored around the clock.
And Egypt recorded 80 cases of infection with the new virus Corona as of Thursday, according to data of the Ministry of Health, including 20 cases that were recovered.
