Edomex National Health Week: Free Services & Prevention Initiatives

Chalco, Mexico state – September 6, 2025 – A ⁣nationwide initiative too bolster public health access and preventative‌ care launched today in Chalco, Mexico​ State, with the commencement of National Public Health Week. The ‌week-long event, themed “United and United for your Health, building well-being,” aims⁣ to strengthen healthcare as a fundamental right and public good through ⁣mobile‌ service modules and targeted health⁤ programs.Secretary of Health of ‌the Government of mexico, ‍David Kershenobich Stallnikowitz, emphasized the critical need for shared responsibility​ in safeguarding public health. “Today, more than ever, co-responsibility ​with the population is necessary,”‍ he stated, noting the increasing burden of preventable chronic diseases alongside ongoing ⁢threats from infectious outbreaks like measles – successfully contained ⁣through preventative medicine.

Macarena Montoya olvera, Secretary ‌of MexiquenseHealth,​ highlighted ⁣the tangible⁢ progress of ongoing healthcare transformation efforts.She specifically pointed to the success of “Thursday for Health” programs, bringing ‍preventative services to underserved communities, and ⁣strategic dengue⁣ control measures that have resulted in a 92 percent decrease in ‌cases across Mexico.

Throughout national Public Health Week,‍ 32 service modules ‌will operate across the 19 ‍jurisdictions of Mexico State. ⁤Residents ​can​ find schedules and ‍locations on the Secretariat of⁤ Health of the ⁢State ​of Mexico’s‍ social media channels.

The mobile units will offer a comprehensive range of services, including HIV and ⁤other ⁢disease⁢ detection, vital sign checks, medical consultations, pharmacy services, vaccinations, special ‌education and disability support, reproductive and oral health care, ‌hygiene education,‌ addiction prevention resources, mental health⁢ services, and anti-rabies vaccinations.
