Ed Sheeran Announces Third​ Album of 2024, ‘Rewind,’ Following⁤ ‘-‘ and ‘Play

Ed Sheeran is⁣ set ‌to⁢ release‌ his third studio ⁢album of⁤ 2024, titled ‘Rewind,’​ continuing a prolific creative period⁢ for the artist. The declaration comes‌ as Sheeran prepares for a UK and European arena tour slated for ​December 2025,‍ and⁤ follows the⁢ release‍ of⁤ ‘-‘⁢ (Subtract) and ‘Play’ earlier this year.

Sheeran’s rapid succession of albums​ reflects a purposeful shift in his approach‍ to record-making.⁣ he ⁤explained that ‘rewind’ was constructed with a focus⁤ on ⁢creating a cohesive ⁣listening experience beyond ⁢simply compiling potential hit singles. “With each album you have ‌the⁣ songs you think are the⁣ singles, and than in the gaps… basically you have to do purposeful songs ⁣rather than having 10 singles,” Sheeran said.
