(VOVWORLD) – On the occasion of National Blood Donor Day, April 7, a meeting titled “Donate Blood-Save a Life” was held on Wednesday in Kon Tum.

Under the aegis of doctors from Kon Tum General Hospital, 200 units of blood were collected. In 2021, the authorities of this Central Highlands province have set the goal of collecting 5,600 units of blood.
A similar meeting took place in Hai Phong (north) at the premises of the Vietnam Maritime University.
“Hai Phong hospitals like elsewhere in the country are facing a blood shortage. We will increase awareness campaigns to encourage more people to donate blood. We will offer bonuses to the most involved donors, ”said Lê Khac Nam, vice-president of the city’s People’s Committee.
This Wednesday, the health authorities of Thai Binh (north) received 300 units of blood.
