TRIBUNJOGJA.COM – When launching the Galaxy S10 series HP, Samsung used a very thin top bezel called the design hole-in-active-area for the front camera.
Unfortunately, the LED lights that are used to provide visual notifications about charging status or missed calls and messages like the one on the Galaxy S9 are also missing.
Indeed, there are animations like a ring of light around the in-view front camera area when you do facial recognition and such.
However, the animation does not serve other notifications online default.

Finally, Samsung updated its experimental Good Lock app with plugin EdgeLighting + which is for grabbing third party solutions like the Holey Light app or ARC Lighting from the Play Store.
Starting with the Galaxy S20 models and now the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung is taking its notification light replacement solution called Edge Lighting to a whole new level.
You are also not required to look for any additional tools.

Here’s how to turn on and set the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smart notification lights:
- From Settings (app icon or gear in notification bar), tap Notifications > Brief pop-up settings > Edge lighting.
- Tap Lighting style to adjust color, effect, width, transparency, and duration Edge lighting.
- Tap Color by keyword to configure lighting effects triggered by specific text in the notification title and body.
- Tap Show Edge lighting to choose, replace pop-up notifications when screen is on / off / both.
- Tap Choose apps to select which applications can activate Edge lighting when the notification is received.
- Turn on settings Show even when screen is off.
- Tap Done after it finishes.

“The Edge lighting feature turns on the Edge screen when you receive a call or notification,” said Samsung.
“You can color code up to five contacts, which will appear in their respective colors when connecting,” added Samsung.
“On the other hand, all calls or notifications will be displayed in a neutral light,” concluded Samsung. (Tribunjogja)
