Orlando The Boston Celtics had to do without national player Daniel Theis at the end of extra time and lost their first game in the final of the Eastern Conference against the Miami Heat.

Theis had to leave the field three and a half minutes before the end of the additional five minutes in the 114: 117 defeat on Tuesday evening (local time) due to too many fouls. The professional, who is especially important for the defense work of the Celtics, looked from the bench as his opponent Bam Adebayo blocked a seemingly safe dunk from Celtics professional Jayson Tatum seconds before the end. The team with four wins first moves into the finals of the NBA championship.

The Los Angeles Clippers, on the other hand, have no chance of winning the title after their unexpectedly significant defeat against the Denver Nuggets and are eliminated. The team around Kawhi Leonard lost 89: 104 in game seven, lost 3: 4 in the series despite a 3-1 lead in the meantime and has to wait for the first participation in the finals of the Western Conference. There the Nuggets are now playing against the Los Angeles Lakers around LeBron James for a place in the final series against either the Celtics or the Heat.

The team from Denver was 1: 3 behind against Utah Jazz in the previous round and is now the first team in NBA history to turn such a deficit twice in the same playoffs. The outstanding player was again Jamal Murray with 40 points.
