The supermoon, according to the terminology of astrologer Richard Knoll, differs in that the new or full moon coincides within 90% with the moment of closest approach to the Earth. If we rely on this definition, then the March “supermoon” is not such.
However, this does not negate the fact that the Moon on this day will be relatively close to the Earth (only 362,170 km), because of which it will be very clearly visible in the sky.
In 2021, there will be two supermoons on April 27 and May 26.
