e-TOLL on A2 and A4. How to buy a highway e-ticket? Android disruptions

Whoever enters the state sections of the A2 (Konin – Stryków) and A4 (Wrocław – Sośnica) motorways just before midnight must prepare for the new toll rules. If the motorway exit takes place after midnight, then it remains to buy an e-motorway ticket or use the e-TOLL PL, e-TOLL PL Bilet application (or similar applications such as Autopay or Spark) or a special terminal. So much for the theory.

In practice, it turns out that the special application e-TOLL PL Bilet still not available for Android phone users (we checked a few hours before implementing the new payment rules on A2 and A4). It can be downloaded and installed by Apple iPhone buyers, who are in the vast minority. Android has an overwhelming share not only in the Polish market.

e-TOLL: e-ticket only at selected petrol stations

Those who prefer the traditional ticket should look for Orlen or Lotos stations. Unfortunately, on the last day of the validity of the existing gates and barriers, only the list of selected Orlen network outlets (230 stations) was indicated. We are still waiting for the list of selected Lotos stations. Characteristic that You can forget about the option to purchase motorway e-tickets in the case of stations of other networks. So far, there are no messages about signing a contract with any of the networks.

The new motorway e-ticket can be purchased up to 60 days in advance. The ticket is valid for 48 hours from the declared date and time of travel. The unused ticket can be returned. However, there is one catch – when we change the route and take an earlier exit, we are not entitled to a refund. However, when we drive the toll section, further than planned, then the collection of the missing amount will be strictly enforced (there are no exceptions – so it was assured during the press conference).
