She has emphasized in the past that it is important that tests for the new coronavirus, as well as possible treatments or vaccines, are available to everyone around the world, regardless of where they live or come from.
Saturday’s event also featured a panel discussion with scientists and leading European politicians, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The event concludes with a charity concert featuring Justin Bieber, Shakira, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus and other well-known musicians.
