Created by Koei Tecmo and his Omega Force team, the Dynasty Warriors series quickly established itself with its unique hack’n slash gameplay. Today, many publishers entrust their flagship licenses to the studio, like Atlus with its Persona 5 Scramble.
It’s been 20 years since the Dynasty Warriors series debuted. In fact, if the first episode known by this name in Europe was released in 1997, it was indeed in 2000 that its sequel, Shin Sangokumusou (aka Dynasty Warriors 2), appeared in stores. It is indeed the latter which lays the foundations of the gameplay that we know today and it is therefore with him that the story of this cult license begins for many players. To celebrate this anniversary, Koei Tecmo offers us today a nice retrospective video.
