Also on Saturday, the health department of the Saxon capital made a decision that was for football – or at least for that of the German Football League (DFL) pursued plans – means extremely bad news. The two positive cases identified by a laboratory in Jena in Dynamo Dresden’s second division squad put the DFL concept for a restart of the two federal leagues to the highest degree before the first game even started. The managing director of the DFL sat on Saturday evening in the “sports studio” of the ZDF, a few hours after the bad news from Dresden had been brought to him. He did his best to spread confidence. “I don’t interpret this as a setback. We have always said that this is something we have to prepare for, ”said the top crisis manager of German club football bravely. Actually, the thing is very simple: “For the second division, where there are 81 games, it means for the moment that two games from Dynamo Dresden cannot be played for the time being.” The game plan offers enough air to catch up on these games .
