Dynamo Dresden: Coach Capretti angry about the wrong decision! – 3rd division

“You were wrong,” Sebastian Mai yelled at the fourth official when he was substituted. And Dynamo’s new coach Guerino Capretti had a long discussion with referee Thomsen after the final whistle…

Lots of trouble after the 2-1 defeat in Bremen. Because Werder’s winning goal by Füllkrug in the 45th minute came after a wrong throw-in decision.

Mai shot an opponent in the Bremen half just before half-time. The ball went out through Königsdörffer’s legs. Referee Thomsen thought he had touched him and gave Werder a throw-in. Then the disaster took its course!

Capretti sour: “Total shame, annoying, bitter! It happened right under my nose. That was throw-in for us. Anyone who has played football knows that you feel unfairly treated at the moment, have the wrong decision in mind, deal with it. Then you are missing one or two percent, which then simply helps you to defend yourself in such a situation. Exactly the opposite happened at Werder. They are happy, then have momentum. And quickly try to decide the situation for themselves.”

And that’s how it happened! Nevertheless, Füllkrug should not have been able to head the ball so freely in the penalty area.

Should the video referee (VAR) have intervened? No! Throw-ins, corner kicks or free kicks are not checked. The factual decision counts here.

However: when Werder’s Toprak Dynamos wrestled substitute Borrello from behind in the penalty area in the final phase, the Kölner Keller could very well have reported, maybe even had to. But keep quiet! And so, despite a significant increase in performance at Capretti’s second division premiere, all that remained was the bitter realization that the pressure in the relegation battle is increasing…
