Dynamic Island will become a standard feature of the iPhone

Jakarta

Dynamic island currently only available in iPhone 14 Pro And iPhone 14 Pro Max. But in the future, this feature should be a default feature of all iPhones.

At least this is the estimate of the analyst Ross Young, who through his Twitter account states that Dynamic Island will be available on all models iPhone 15not only the Pro variant, as quoted by detikINET from The Verge, Tuesday (20/9/2022).

If true, Dynamic Island will officially replace the notch first introduced on the iPhone X when it was released in 2017. Even so, that doesn’t mean that all of the Pro variant’s screen features will be the same as the regular variant.

According to Young, the regular iPhone 15 will not yet feature a 120Hz LTPO panel, the component behind the always-on display and ProMotion features on the iPhone 14 Pro.

According to Young, this happened because the component supply chain could not support the iPhone variant using this technology.

As is known, Dynamic Island is an oval-shaped cutout on the iPhone screen to store the FaceID sensor, front camera and other sensors. At first glance this doesn’t seem impressive, as it has often been done by Android makers.

But the difference is that Apple hides these pieces with the iOS interface using animations. One of its uses is to display notifications or even show currently active applications in the background.

If true, this feature should be able to increase the interest of potential iPhone 15 buyers, unlike the iPhone 14, which has minimal changes compared to the iPhone 13.

As previously reported, the iPhone 14 Pro’s screen still measures 6.1 inches, as does the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. Both use an LTPO OLED display that supports a 1-120 Hz refresh rate.

Apple has made the bezels thinner than before, bringing the brightness up to 2,000 nits. And finally Apple introduced the Always on Display feature.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 still uses a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen, whose maximum brightness level is 800 nits and can be cast up to 1,200 nits. The refresh rate is 60 Hz and the resolution is 1,170 x 2,532 pixels (460 ppi).
