Kansas state running back Dylan Edwards intends to enter the transfer portal, sources confirmed to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The move comes during a season where the sophomore has been limited by injuries.
Edwards’ departure marks a shift for the Wildcats‘ offense and concludes a brief stint in Manhattan after he transferred to K-State following his freshman year at Colorado. In 2024, Edwards proved to be a dynamic playmaker, rushing for 546 yards on 7.4 yards per carry with seven total touchdowns.
This season, injuries have restricted Edwards to just four games, where he recorded 34 carries for 205 yards. He initially began his collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023.
Kansas State currently holds a 4-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Big 12 play and has a bye week scheduled.
