“Dying Light 2: The Hidden Beast” System Requirements Spark controversy Following Specification Errors
Warsaw, poland - September 2, 2025 – TechLand‘s upcoming downloadable content for Dying Light 2, titled “The Hidden Beast,” is drawing attention not for its gameplay, but for inaccuracies in the officially published system requirements. The developer issued a correction via Twitter acknowledging errors in the initially released processor specifications.
The original post incorrectly listed the Ryzen 7 5800F and Ryzen 9 7800X3D as recommended processors; TechLand has since confirmed the correct recommendations are the Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 7 7800X3D. This gaffe has amplified existing concerns among players regarding the demanding specifications, notably the call for a Core i9-14900K or Ryzen 9 7950X3D for optimal performance at maximum settings, alongside a significant 32 GB of RAM.
The high-end requirements have fueled debate within the gaming community, with many questioning whether the visual fidelity of “The Hidden Beast,” as showcased in released trailers, justifies such powerful hardware. Critics suggest the specifications may indicate potential optimization issues, raising fears that players with mid-range systems may experience performance problems despite the game’s visual similarity to other current-generation AAA titles.
TechLand has not yet addressed the broader concerns regarding the overall system requirements beyond correcting the processor model numbers. “It should be 5800X and Ryzen 7 7800x3d.We’re really sorry for that 🙏,” the official Dying Light Twitter account stated.
“Dying Light 2: The Hidden Beast” is currently available for wishlisting on Steam.
