Dwayne Johnson is about to share the poster of the action comedy “Red One” (Amazon Prime Video) with the former interpreter of “Captain America”, Chris Evans.
After sharing the poster for the Netflix blockbuster Red Notice with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson is about to shoot a new action movie with a cinema superstar. The former wrestler will indeed be associated with Chris Evans for the action comedy Red One, described as an offbeat reinterpretation of end-of-year films.
Directed by Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) from a screenplay by Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw), Red One is billed as a Christmas blockbuster.
While plot details are still being kept under wraps, we do know that the film’s action will take place all over the world. Or as Dwayne Johnson himself describes it: the unlikely encounter between The Miracle on 34th Street and Hobbs & Shaw, with a hint of Life is Beautiful.
Recall that Red Notice, produced and starring Dwayne Johnson, became the most viewed original film of all time on Netflix a few months ago. Two sequels have been started by the platform, presumably for simultaneous filming. Johnson will also soon star in the new DC Comics film Black Adam (in theaters July 27).
Imminent filming, Red One is expected on the Amazon Prime Video platform for the end of 2023. Other big names could join the distribution of the film by then.
