A sixty-year-old Dutch man was killed in a collision in Germany on Monday. He was in a traffic jam with his camper when a truck drove into him. A 60-year-old woman was seriously injured.
The accident happened near Bremen. The truck driver saw the congestion too late and drove into the stationary vehicles without braking. The driver is a 41-year-old German. He was slightly injured.
Both Dutchmen became trapped in the camper and were removed from the vehicle by emergency services. The driver was already deceased.
The woman sitting next to the motorhome driver was seriously injured. She was taken to hospital by air ambulance and is in critical condition.
The accident happened near Wildeshausen, between Bremen and Osnabrück. There is road work going on.
