Dutch cult leader arrested just across the border in Germany

A 57-year-old Dutch cult leader has been arrested in Wesel, Germany, just across the border from Nijmegen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The man is accused of rape and deprivation of liberty of members of a community he founded, various German media report.

The Dutch is “spiritual leader” of the so-called Balance Recovery Life Center. He is said to have made at least 10 victims, the youngest of which is 16 years old.

According to the German image the man who is now on trial before the German court in Duisburg is called Wilri W. He is said to have a Dutch passport, but grew up in Germany. Bild describes all kinds of gruesome details, including physical abuse and rape.

Horror house

The German website T-online describes it as ‘the horror house of the Wesel sect guru’. According to the website, W. has been in custody since August and is charged with 38 cases including 20 cases of physical abuse, deprivation of liberty, three assaults and five rapes.

It AD has spoken to the court in Duisburg and reports that W. would have committed the criminal offenses between January 2016 and July of this year and that it is unclear whether the victims are Dutch or German. The court spokesperson also says that W. would have forced victims to perform sexual acts on each other and on himself. If victims didn’t obey, W. would have humiliated them by peeing all over them and letting them lick their own blood off the floor or wall.

Second case in a short time

A month ago, a 58-year-old Dutchman was also arrested at the eviction of a cult in a former monastery in the German city of Goch. According to the police, these people call themselves the Order of Transformants. The arrested Dutchman is suspected of sexual abuse of children and rape.
