Düsseldorf table – plus maintenance for children – policy

Minors as well as children of separation who are adults are entitled to higher maintenance from the new year. At the same time, the personal needs of alimony debtors are increasing. This emerges from the new so-called Düsseldorf table. In the income group up to 1900 euros, for example, the minimum maintenance for children up to five years of age will increase from 1 January by 41 to 437 euros compared to the previous year. The “Düsseldorf table” is the guideline of the higher regional courts in Germany for determining and assessing maintenance. However, it is not legally binding.
