During an introductory course at Mácha’s Lake, 116 university students became infected

At the beginning of September, Macha Lake hosted two tours of adaptation courses. Each of them was attended by about seven hundred students from different universities.

“Hygiene stations have already shaken 116 infected people because of this, but in reality there may be even more,” he wrote server.

Students did not wear veils at most events or games. In the evening they went to have fun in the nearby Doks, where there is a disco and camp Bílý kámen.

The courses were attended by students of the University of Pardubice, the Ambis University, the Technical University in Liberec, the JE Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Charles University, the Czech Technical University and the University of Economics in Prague. According to the server, Palacký University in Olomouc and Masaryk University in Brno, for example, also encountered a similar problem.

The organizers of the courses claim that they paid attention to the observance of hygienic regulations. “When we found out the first cases of the infection, we isolated the people and sent them home,” said the organizer of the course for Charles University, Michal Horký.

In the Czech Republic, since the beginning of September, there has been a significant increase in infected, hospitalized and seriously ill patients with covid, and the state has once again tightened measures concerning the wearing of veils, business opening hours or mass events. Many universities have recently switched to distance learning – some have been ordered to do so by a hygienist due to a worsening epidemic situation, while others have opted for it voluntarily.
