From Jerusalem, President Iván Duque and the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, referred to the advances that Colombia is achieving in terms of vaccination against covid-19.

Duque revealed that the 49 million of doses applied in the country, which means that there is an advance of more than 63 percent of the population with at least one dose.
The head of state highlighted the progress that has been made in what has to do with second-dose vaccination and announced that “the goal for November is 55 million of doses applied in the country “.
In that sense, he explained that what is sought is to have this month to have the 70 percent of the population with at least one dose and close the year with the goal of 35 million with the complete scheme.
For his part, Minister Ruiz stressed that there are nine cities in Colombia that are above 70 percent in first doses.
He said the goal is to vaccinate near 5.1 million of Colombians this month to achieve 70 percent in the national average. Ruiz pointed out that in what has to do with the immunization of children, the average has been above 300 thousand a day.
