On November 8th, a lecture will take place in the municipal administration in Linz from 7 p.m. in cooperation between the Kreis-Volkshochschule-Außenstelle Linz and Eine-Welt Linz eV. Karl Amthauer will report on the dangers of increasing drought.
Linz. Three years of drought in Europe put the issue of water supply on the political agenda. In some areas, drinking water became scarce, 280,000 hectares of forest were lost, shipping had to be reduced, and many people’s health suffered. Will clean water in sufficient quantities no longer be a matter of course in Germany in the future?
If the drought is not to become normal in the coming years, we need changes and also a national water strategy. The event will be about finding out about the causes and discussing measures. Information and registration: www.kvhs-neuwied.de or 02644 5601-11.
