SIPBACHZELL. A 35-year-old Romanian citizen with 1.28 per mille of alcohol in his blood was engaged in a chase on Friday morning with a civil patrol. The driver reached a top speed of 230 kilometers per hour on the wet road.
On the A1 west autobahn in the direction of Salzburg, near Sipbachzell, the 35-year-old overtook a civil patrol from the regional traffic department at extremely high speed. During the night on the wet road, the Romanian reached a top speed of 230 kilometers per hour. An alcohol test was carried out during the handlebar and vehicle checks. This resulted in a value of 1.28 per mille. The man’s license was provisionally taken away, he is reported.
