Drugs Fugitive Arrests lead to Fury Residents, Battered Babies Officers and Their Cars Overturned Page all

KOMPAS.com – Arrest attempt fugitive drug conducted by officers from the District Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, failed to do.

In fact, when conducting a raid on his residence in the village of Rugemuk, Labu Beach District, the perpetrators had initially been arrested. But finally came back loose.

Not only the perpetrators who managed to escape, in the incident the officers who made the arrests also suffered battered and used cars overthrown and damaged by local residents.

This was allegedly due to provocation efforts from the perpetrators’ relatives.

So that makes other residents ignited emotions and officials raged.

Officers were beaten and the car toppled

Head of Deli Serdang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Kompol Firdaus when confirmed confirmed the incident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (5/8/2020).

When the raid was carried out, officers initially had succeeded in arresting fugitives of drugs.

However, when they were about to be brought, there were residents who obstructed and provoked other residents.

As a result, riots were inevitable and the officers who carried out the arrests were actually targeted by residents.

In fact, the car used was also damaged and overthrown at the scene.

“Officers were beaten and injured,” said Firdaus.

“So, the DPO who was previously captured managed to escape,” he added.

Provocation from the perpetrators

After receiving the report, his party immediately went to the scene to conduct research efforts.

Preliminary results of the examination carried out, residents’ tantrums were triggered because of the provocation of residents suspected of being drug fugitives.

“It is suspected that there is a family relationship. So around the crime scene, the information we got, they are all family, brothers and sisters. But later on how far will we relate to his brother’s relations, “he said.

Related to the incident, Firdaus claimed to have secured two people. However, they are still witnesses.

“So just now there were 2 people secured. This is again an intensive examination. So after the examination, we will have a case to determine its status. Until now, it’s still a witness, “explained Firdaus.
