On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched missile and drone attacks on several cities in Ukraine, including the capital Kiev, in retaliation for the explosion of the Crimean bridge.

The Ukrainian government announced on the 17th that a residential area in the center of the capital Kiev was attacked by the Russian army’s Iranian drone “Shahid 136”.

The Shahid 136 is a propeller-type unmanned aerial vehicle with a wingspan of approximately 2.5 meters, a flight range of several hundred to several thousand kilometers, a warhead of 30 to 50 kilometers and a speed of 120 to 180 kilometers per hour.

On October 17, Ukrainian presidential adviser Podlyak said on his social media that Iran was sending 2,400 drones and leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

On 21 October, the UN Security Council held a public meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

After pointing out that Iranian-made drones were used in Russia’s attacks, the Western Council reiterates that Iran’s supply of drones to Russia violates Security Council resolutions that approved the Iranian nuclear deal, it asked the United Nations to conduct a field survey.

Drones have been described as a “game changer” in military technology.

It offers significant advantages over manned aircraft with pilots and has the potential to fundamentally change the way warfare is fought in the future.

Azerbaijan’s victory in a territorial dispute with Armenia has also been attributed to the massive use of Turkish-made drones. That’s why it’s called a “game changer”.

In addition to flying reconnaissance and strike drones around the Nansei Islands in Japan, China is advancing the technology for “crowd flight” with hundreds of small drones.

By the way, Japan is far behind other countries in the field of drones.

Currently, the only drones owned by the self-defense forces are the large US-made reconnaissance aircraft Global Hawk.

For many years, the government and the Ministry of Defense have not attached much importance to drone efforts. I would like to discuss the reasons for this on another occasion.

Now, in this article, I would like to describe how to deal with the drone attacks that we see and hear on TV every day.

First, I will give an overview of drones (definition, types, characteristics), then I will describe the rapid expansion of drones and their background, then I will describe the case of cyber hijacking in Iran, which is a special example of warfare Finally, I will talk about how to deal with drone strikes in Japan.
