Drivers began to be fined 3,000 rubles for habitual maneuvers :: Autonews

Cameras of video recording of violations in Moscow began to issue fines to motorists for leaving the designated lanes, whereas before, drivers could use these lanes on weekends. The city department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure reminded about the changes in traffic rules.

The news that drivers will not be allowed to go to “dedicated lines” even on weekends, appeared last week. Then the authorities announced the changes and warned that they would enter into force on November 7 – from that day, travel on the allocated lanes is allowed only for urban transport, taxis, emergency vehicles (firefighters, police, ambulance), public utility vehicles and bicycles.

The new rules were introduced, among other things, after relevant requests from the Probok.net expert center and the taxi transport council at the Transport Association of the Moscow metropolitan area.

“Thanks to the innovation, public transport will run without delays, and residents of the capital will be able to wait less at stops. […] A single mode of operation of the leased line will help eliminate confusion and avoid accidental fines for motorists, ”the department’s website says.

The Department of Transport noted that the fine for leaving the “vydelenki” is 3 thousand rubles, and asked Muscovites to be more attentive.

What already wrote Autonews.ru, in Moscow, on average, more than 700 thousand passengers of land transport and more than 250 thousand people using taxis travel on leased lines per day. Before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, these numbers were even higher – 1.8 million and 630 thousand, respectively.
