Car measured at 177 km/h near Bern-Bümpliz
On Sunday morning, May 21, 2023, the Bern canton police carried out a speed check on the A12 motorway near Bern-Bümpliz. At around 7.30 a.m., a car driving in the direction of Bern-Neufeld was measured at 170 km/h after deducting the legal tolerance of 7 km/h. 80 km/h are permitted on the motorway section in question.
The driver was identified and questioned on Friday, June 2, 2023. He admitted to driving the car. His driver’s license was confiscated for the attention of the administrative authorities. After the investigation is complete, the 30-year-old will have to answer to the judiciary in accordance with the legal provisions on speeding crimes.
