DRC: Marie Tumba Nzeza invited to the meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Italy

Mr. Luca Attanasio, Ambassador of Italy in the DRC officially handed over to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Marie Tumba Nzenze the invitation to participate in the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the G20 countries in Italy. It was during a hearing that the head of Congolese diplomacy granted to her Italian counterpart this Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Kinshasa.

The two personalities also discussed the next presidency of the Democratic Republic of Congo at the African Union.

“I was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss the DRC’s presidency of the African Union, and the Presidency of Italy of the G20 group. My Prime Minister asked me to visit to the Minister and invited him to the next meeting in Italy of all the ministers of G20 countries and the DRC as Presidency of the African Union “explained the Italian diplomat at the end of the interview.

Responding to the question on the contribution of Italy and the European Union to the DRC to succeed in its mandate, the ambassador said that it should be considered that the G20 this year will target three priorities or the three PPP, namely Population, Planet and Prosperity.

All these priorities, he said, are compatible with the priorities of the DRC head of state.

And add:

“We are sure that if we take advantage of this event, this coincidence, the presidency of the African Union by the DRC and the presidency of the G20 by Italy, together we will develop more effective collaborations to support Africa in general and the DRC on its development path more effectively “.

Addressing the state of play of cooperation between the DRC and Italy, Luca Attanasio said that relations between the two countries have been in good shape for a long time.

“In 2021 there will be a decisive strengthening of the friendship relationship between the DRC and Italy” he concluded.
