ENEGO. Dramatic mountain bike accident, a man lost his life: he did not notice a double boundary with barbed wire, the 63-year-old was thus thrown over the fence and knocked to the ground. The injuries were too serious and the timely intervention of the rescuers was not enough.
The alert went off just before 12.30 today, Saturday 2 July, when the Central of 118 was affected by a serious accident on the forest road in Valmaron locality.
The 63-year-old from Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza) was walking along the path with a friend, but did not notice a double demarcation with barbed wire.
Inevitable the impact, the 63-year-old was thrown over the fence, ending 4 meters further and hitting violently to the ground. An accident that immediately appeared extremely serious.
The exiting companion immediately sounded the alarm and started the maneuvers awaiting the arrival of the rescuers with the helicopter.
Landed with the winch about twenty meters away, health team and helicopter rescue technician of the Treviso emergency helicopter they reached the 63-year-old, but unfortunately all that remained was to note his death.
