Drama Moto2, KTM Cancel Champion, Andi Gilang Finish Position 24 Page all

SPIELBERG, KOMPAS.com – Title Moto2 GP Styria at the Red Bull Ring, Sunday (23/8/2020), leaving drama. KTM racer Jorge Martin, who touched the finish line first, had to be willing to lose the first podium because he was considered touching green paint during the last lap.

Finally, Sky Racing Team VR46 racer Marco Bezzecchi, who finished second, moved up one place to become the first podium.

Meanwhile Indonesian racer Andi Farid Izdihar alias Andi Gilang who started 22nd only finished 24th.

The race started with Aaron Canet who started from 1st position, who immediately slipped to 3rd position. Replaced by Jorge Martin in first place and Tetsuta Nagashima in second.

Unfortunately at corner four Aaron Canet suffered a lowside and crashed and could not continue the race.

Jorge Martin, who led the race, tried to consistently keep his distance from Tetsuta Nagashima who was behind him.

However, on lap 11 Remy Gardner shortened the distance from Testuta Nagashima so that he managed to become second place. Followed by Marco Bezzecchi who overtook Nagashima at 12 to finish in third.

In the last 10 laps, there was a fierce battle between Remy Gardner and Marco Bezzecchi. Until finally Marco Bezzecchi won second place.

At the end of the lap, there was tension between Marco Bezzecchi who tried hard to catch Jorge Martin in the dying seconds towards the finish line. Martin did finish first, but Bezzecchi didaulay on the first podium because Martin was considered to have committed a foul.
