Jeddah: Dr. as the new head of the Human Rights Commission. Hala bint Maseed Al-Tuwaijri was appointed by King Salman. The appointment is with ministerial rank. The current head of the commission dr. Awad bin Salih al-Awad was removed from his position and appointed one of the advisors of the royal palace. Dr. Hala Altuwaijri has held the position of Secretary General of the Family Affairs Council since July 2017. She was also the head of the G20 Women’s Empowerment Group.

Since April 2021 he has been Administrative Director at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Amira is a member of the Noora Award for Women Excellence Advisory Committee, Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Heritage Cultural Program Advisory Committee. She is a member of the Women’s Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and the Women’s Work Committee of the Arab Labor Organization. She was Deputy Dean of the College of Arts at King Saud University and Deputy Dean of the Department of English Language and Literature at the same college. He was awarded the King Abdul Aziz Second Degree Medal in 2021. A graduate of King Saud University with a BA in English Literature and Ph.D.
