DPR approves the naturalization of Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat

DPR RI approves the application for naturalization of potential players Indonesian national, Jordi Amat And Sandy Walshin the 5th Plenary Session of the DPR for the First Session Period of the Session Year 2022-2023, Tuesday (20/9).

Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus as chair of the meeting stated that Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh had the blessing of Commission III and Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

“In accordance with the discussions between Commission III and Commission X, they have decided to approve the consideration of Indonesian citizenship in Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh,” Lodewijk said, beating on the hammer of the trial.

Lodewijk said Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh’s naturalization process could proceed to the next stage. In this case, Jordi and Sandy have to wait for the presidential decree before taking the oath of Indonesian citizens in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

“Furthermore, the approval will be followed up with the applicable mechanism,” Lodewijk said.

The ongoing naturalization process has brought Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh closer to becoming Indonesian citizens. Both are keen to immediately defend the Indonesian national team in the international arena.

Jordi and Sandy were invited to train with the Indonesian national team last May at the Sidolig stadium in Bandung. Both seemed excited to participate in the program formulated by Shin Tae Yong.

The closest possible event for Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh to bolstering the Indonesian national team is the 2022 AFF Cup to be held next December.

Originally, Jordi and Sandy were supposed to strengthen Indonesia against Curacao on FIFA day on 24 and 27 September. However, this goal was not achieved.
