During the last climate mobilization, in Laval (Mayenne), on March 28, 2021, around 150 demonstrators gathered. This Sunday, May 9, 2021, after the national call for mobilization, around 200 people, according to the police, gathered in Boston Square, while the Climate law was adopted at first reading on May 4.

Many political figures are present, including Guillaume Garot, candidates for the regional elections, as well as other candidates for the departmental elections. “We are not taking the necessary measures for the planet, says Rachel Ballayer, member of the citizens’ collective for the climate, at the initiative of this mobilization.
Several appointments
The event is planned in four stages. After this first rally, the demonstrators will walk to the theater, which is still busy. Speeches will take place from 11 a.m.
Another appointment is then given on the Coupeau site, in Saint-Berthevin, where the felling of trees is controversial.
At 3 p.m., another march is organized, from the town hall of Château-Gontier.
