Top model Doutzen Kroes has been in the news in recent years because of her outspoken attitude towards the corona vaccine. She seemed to want to be more of a role model for antivaxxers, rather than a top model and in January this year she officially stopped modeling because she wanted to “follow her heart”. “I don’t want to contribute to all that corruption anymore.” Whether this was a pause or a definite ending, she also left it open to herself.
Myllena
It seems that she took on this job ‘with her heart’, namely for her daughter Myllena (7). “It started with a girls trip to Paris. I promised myself to focus on my connection with nature and family.” However, when she was asked to walk his show on Sunday evening by fashion designer Pieter Mulier of Maison Azzedine Alaïa during a coffee date, she started to have doubts. “It was like the world stopped spinning and I couldn’t answer.”
“The next day I was walking around Paris thinking how much Myllena would love a trip to this incredible city and I was already planning in my head. Suddenly a show for Alaïa and to be with Myllena seemed like a great idea! She would use it against me for the rest of my life if I didn’t, given her love of clothes and glamour. I chose to be part of this incredible show honoring Azzedine Alaïa and his family, for my daughter and for myself.”
That both Myllena and Doutzen thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the French capital is apparent from the series of photos Doutzen shares of them together. “Making memories is what life is all about for me.”
