DoorDash Canada Releases Food Trends Report – HRImag: HOTELS, RESTAURANTS and INSTITUTIONS

DoorDash Canada today released its year-end trends report revealing the top-ordered foods in the country in 2022. The company uses data from January through November to provide insight into the biggest and most eccentric foods when it comes to food, regional and national drinks and orders.

“As takeout and pickup options increase, the support for local restaurants is incredible,” said Shilpa Arora, general manager of DoorDash Canada.

Montreal is the third city to have ordered the most fast food, after Toronto and Vancouver. The most expensive order placed in the country was in the Quebec metropolis, Outremont. It came to $2,761 and included 12 plates of kebabs, meat and salad. It comes in fourth place in the list of cities that have placed the most advance orders while Quebec is the first. When it comes to orders for evening meals, they place the metropolis in second place, behind Vancouver.

Nighttime orders often include chicken nuggets, fries, and a poutine. A similar result to the most ordered dishes consisting of burgers and fries, fried chicken and poutine. In Quebec, in particular, poutine ranks first, followed by cappuccino and pad thai. Canada would be more greedy this year. In the province we mainly find the chocolate brioche, then the millefeuille and the biscuit. In general, the most popular cuisines in the country are American, Mexican and Japanese. And Osmow’s, Quesada Burritos & Tacos, Mr. Puffs, Mandy’s are the province’s favorite restaurants.
